The «MANTIS» laboratory is a result of a joint
venture effort between SCORPION INTERNATIONAL SERVICES
S.A. and the scientific centre for civil protection
of the EMERCOM of Russia. Holds a Russian registration with
a Patent No 2141635.
In addition, it has been certified according to ISO
9001:2000, verified by the Greek National Institute of
Technology (EMP) Laboratory for anti-seismic Technology,
and has been recommended by the EUROPEAN COMMISSION –
JOINT RESEARCH CENTRE-IPSC (March 2003, Ispra Italy) as
a “useful tool for rapid collection of complex geotechnical
and engineering parameters qualifying and quantifying
the condition of a building and its foundation media (subsoil,
velocity profile, geodetic, dynamic, etc.).”
It has, also, been awarded the UN-Certificate of Merit,
three Gold, three Silver and one Bronze medal at International
Inventions Salons in Geneva, Brussels and Seoul between
the years 1999 – 2002.
