SCORPION SERVICES EXPORT-IMPORT GmbH is a member of the SCORPION Group of Companies, which for the past 20 years has been successfully activated in the international market of high-technology systems.

The company was established in 1990 and its headquarters are located in Vienna, Austria with offices also in Athens, Greece. Its main business objective lies in all kind of air-transportation, and dealing with emergencies such as forest fire-fighting by means of aircraft and helicopters, the cleaning of mine fields, search and rescue, evacuations etc. The company employs experienced technical and financial personnel and uses the SCORPION Group's network of offices and Group associates in many European countries.
Since 1999, SCORPION has provided fire-fighting services to the Hellenic Republic and to the Democracy of Cyprus.

Specifically the fleet of the company has flown more than 12.000 accident free flight hours, dumped more than 250 million liters of water, and transferred fire-fighting trucks and firemen to remote areas safely and effectively without any accident or incident.

The company acting as prime contractor cooperates closely with reliable Air-Operators and with the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) of Russia promoting their service worldwide. In order to carry out aerial fire-fighting operations, SCORPION has so far employed the following aircrafts:

• IL-76 TD the largest “strategic” bomber fire-fighting airplane in the world, able to dump 44000 lts of water
• MI-26 the giant helicopter with the world's greatest lifting capacity (20 tonnes internal / external load) or 15000 lt dumping water capacity
• MI-8 MTV the world famous all-weather helicopter of the MIL family, able to dump 4000 lts of water
• KAMOV Ka-32 the powerful all-weather helicopter, able to dump 4000-5000 lts of water
• BERIEV BE 200 multipurpose amphibious aircraft, the latest achievement of Russian technology, with up to 12 tons of water (filled in just 12 seconds and able to carry on top 1.2 tons retardant fluid)
